240-Hour Visa-Free Transit: Explore Henan + Optional Health Checkup in Zhengzhou
Citizens of 57 countries who are transiting through China to a third country or region can enter visa-free at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport and stay up to 240 hours (10 days). Henan province is the permitted stay area for this port.
The policy is governed by the latest announcement of China's National Immigration Administration. Before you travel, confirm with your airline and the border port. NIA service hotline: 12367.

Who qualifies
- 1.You are a citizen of one of the 57 eligible countries (check below) and hold your own ordinary passport, valid for at least three more months.
- 2.You hold an onward ticket with a confirmed date to a third country or region, leaving China within 240 hours — the onward destination must be a different country or region from the one you flew in from.
- 3.You enter at one of the 65 designated ports — Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport is one of them — complete the arrival card and accept the border officers' inspection and questions.

Optional: a health checkup in Zhengzhou during your stay
Zhengzhou is the entry port and the provincial capital, so a checkup can sit alongside your sightseeing. What we coordinate:
- Booking a health checkup at one of our partner hospitals in Zhengzhou, on a date that fits your stay.
- Translation of your report and coordination of its explanation by the hospital's doctors, through an interpreter.
- Fitting the appointment around your sightseeing and onward flight.
We do not promise how long a checkup or its report will take: that depends on the hospital and the tests, and we confirm it with you case by case.

What the visa-free stay covers: the NIA lists tourism, business, visits and family visits. Medical care is not named in that list, and coming to China for medical treatment requires a visa. If the main purpose of your trip is treatment, or you are unsure whether a checkup fits your trip, ask the NIA (12367) or the Chinese embassy before you book.

How it works
- 1Check your nationality below and book an onward ticket to a third country or region that leaves within the 240-hour window.
- 2Plan your days inside Henan — the permitted stay area for Zhengzhou. Our Henan guides cover the main sights; send us your dates if you would like help with the itinerary.
- 3Optional: ask us to book a health checkup at one of our partner hospitals in Zhengzhou, scheduled around your itinerary. We confirm the appointment in writing before you travel.
- 4On arrival at Zhengzhou, tell the border officers you are applying for 240-hour visa-free transit and show your passport, onward ticket and arrival card (it can be filled in online before you fly).
- 5Register your accommodation within 24 hours of entry at your hotel or a local police station, stay within the permitted area, and leave on your onward ticket.
Before you go
- A return ticket to the country you came from does not qualify: the onward flight must go to a third country or region.
- If an urgent reason or force majeure means you must stay longer or go outside the permitted area, apply in advance to the local public security exit-entry office for a stay permit.
- Work, study and journalism need a visa arranged before you travel. So does a trip whose purpose is medical treatment.
- We cannot guarantee entry: the decision is made by the border officers at the port.
